Data Protection Notice

This notice explains which personal data MessGEO (messgeo.com, a messagency project) processes, on which legal grounds, and which rights you can exercise.
1. Controller
The data controller is messagency, reachable through the email address at the bottom of this page.
2. Data we process
Account data (name, email address, password hash, language preference), order and credit records, tool query history (the URL or brand you scan, scores, dates), support messages, transactional email logs, and technical logs such as IP addresses used for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
3. Legal bases
We rely on performance of a contract for the account, credits and orders (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)), legitimate interests for security, rate limiting and service protection (Art. 6(1)(f)), and consent where required (Art. 6(1)(a)). We do not use advertising or profiling cookies.
4. Processors and transfers
We use a small set of processors: Resend for transactional email, Google for the optional Google sign-in, Cloudflare for DNS and email routing, and our hosting provider. Some processors are located outside the EEA; transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
5. Retention
Account data is kept while your account exists. If you delete your account, personal fields are deleted and query records are anonymised. Email and order records are kept for as long as legally required.
6. Your rights
You can access, rectify, export (data portability) and erase your data, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Export and deletion are self-service in your panel under Settings; for anything else, email us.
7. UK and California visitors
For UK visitors the UK GDPR applies with the same rights. California residents have the right to know, delete and correct personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing under the CCPA/CPRA; we do not sell or share personal information.
8. Complaints
You can lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We would appreciate the chance to resolve any concern first through the email address below.
